All Hallow's Eve

We had a great Halloween this year.  I like dressing up the kids a lot more than myself and now that there are two of them Annette doesn't feel the need to make me dress up.  Tessa had been saying for weeks that she wanted to be a Choo-Choo Train.  Annette was at a loss as to how this should be accomplished, but I had some ideas floating around, so we set apart an FHE to the costume cause.  I took some old boxes from the move, a knife, and some packaging tape and sculpted a train.  Annette and Tessa then painted it and we put some straps on and away she went.  Tessa loved it and I was quite proud of all the notice people took out on the candy trail.

(She used the cattle gaurd to move other kids out of her path to the candy)

(The little engine that could)

(It's hard to tell but it says Tessa on the back)

After some deliberation over Makayla's costume, we decided on a mermaid, which Annette tackled while I took on the train.  It turned out super cute and even won first place in the overall costume contest at the Family Housing Association's Halloween Carnival.

(notice the shell on her waist)

(practicing flapping her fin)

(If only that were her real hair)

We took the girls up to Pocatello Friday night so that they could Trick-or-treat with their cousins.  Annette's bro-in-law Brandon, set up his third annual spook alley in her parent's front yard.  It was pretty cool and we had some fun freaking out some of the neighbors.  We forgot to take our camera so when we get some pictures from up there we will make those available too.
