Independence

So we are sitting in the Logan Tabernacle at Stake conference today and Nate is wandering about the aisle a little.  One week ago today he made the decision that he was going to get serious about walking and do it by himself and not just when we tricked him into it.  So back to today, he is practicing his new found skill by walking back and forth across this six feet wide area.  He falls down in the middle but decides he doesn't want to crawl over to the side to stand back up and starts practicing standing up right then and there.  He does it a little differently than most kids.  Instead of getting on all fours and sticking his butt way up in the air and going from there, he sits on one leg with the other out in front of him and stands up on one leg using the other to balance.  After trying and failing at this several times, he finally succeeded and kept practicing until he got pretty good at it.  We were quite impressed and proud of our little guy.  He is making some great strides lately.  (video will be posted as soon as he wakes up from his nap and we can shoot some)

Swimming fun, summer 2010

Swimming
We went swimming as much as we could,
The girls played in the water every week. Most of the time at my friends home, and some of the time at our home, and ones at my sisters.

Tessa took swimming lessons this summer and.....
after she graduated the girls and I spent a day at the pool.
See the big twisty slide, both of my girls went down it, and said they loved it!!

Nate used the tub as his pool. I don't think I could handle a baby and a toddler and a confident 4 year old all by my self at the pool.

Tessa and I played in the giant sprinklers at the west heritage center, and the little sprinklers we always came a crossed on our walks.

We also went to the splash pad a lot.
