More Makayla

Tessa still loves Makayla and Makayla Love Tessa! :)

I haven't done a very good job on keeping you updated on Makayla. She is getting ready to crawl. She does the army crawl and rolls herself every where. I do like to see her developing, but I had hope to hold off the crawling a little longer. No dice. Tessa started crawling at 51/2 months so I guess I should consider myself lucky.

Makayla loves her food she started eating rice cereal at 4 months by her request and eats tons of it now. I mix it with pureed fruits and veggies, I think the sweet potato's are her favs.

She still loves nursing, she laughs right before I nurse her. I Love it!! This is kind of a sad thought because I am going to be weening her in a month or two. Oh well all good things must come to an end, so that better things can came.

She laughs kinda like this

She also says Da da, Ma ma, and tons of other cute sounds, but her favorite thing to do is growl. We call her our little Bear (She has a Bear suit that she wears when we go out side. Thank you Cassandra we love it.)

What else, Oh she got her 6 month shots. She didn't like that, it was my fist time there while a child of mine got their shots. I had made Hazen do it up until now but he couldn't miss school so I was stuck doing it. I think I hated it as much as she did. I am not a huge needle fan when it comes to me or my girls. Makayla was a litte under the weather for a little while after, and as soon as she got feeling better we all got sick. Makayla had welts on her legs and bruises for a week and a half :( that was sad for me. Other news from the doctor's visit, she is in the 50% for height and weight.

That may not sound like a lot but following Tessa she is practically a giant. I am amazed that two smaller people like Hazen and I could end up with a child that is holding strong at 50% for either height or weight. So there is hope that she will be as tall as Hazen, but if not she should still get taller than me. So things are moving a long great with Makayla.

Christmas at last!

Well I thought maybe I should write something about Christmas before Valentine's came. I can't believe it's been almost two months since Christmas. We went down to Orem this year. I like the shopping down there so we didn't end up doing any shopping till we got there which made for a long week. Oh and of course traveling is hard on the kids. Tessa kinda stopped being a big girl that week so we had to buy some pull ups. She got over it somewhat quickly, so it wasn't too bad. Makayla on the other hand couldn't sleep because of how cold it was in the room we stayed in, and only now is she starting to sleep 12 hours again. Even with all the troubles Christmas was nice, we saw almost all of Hazen's family, only Sheryn and Spencer were missing (P.S. we missed you guys). Christmas eve Andrew, Naoko, Michael and Andrea were able to join us and we all stayed up late waiting for Santa. It was fun to see every one open gifts and to see what they got, but I think the funnest part for me is watching Tessa and now Makayla open their gifts. Tessa gets so excited when she gets something she knows she will have lots of fun playing with.

The day after Christmas we went to see some friends. It was so neat to see our friends kids with ours. I don't know about all of you, but when I was a kid I never thought about having kids, let alone having kids play with my childhood friends kids. Thanks Russ for hosting and sorry to those that couldn't make it we missed you.

The night we got back to Logan, I stayed up all night playing Santa for Tessa and Makayla. My first time being a Santa , so it didn't go as well as I imagined, but I do know what to do better next year. So I am excited not bummed.

The next day we when to my Mom's for Laura's (my sister's) birthday. It was lots of fun. She got the last two books in the Twilight saga so that worked out for me very nicely. You see I read the first 2 and seeing how Laura lives down here in Logan with me now I got to borrow the books from her twice.

On the 28th we had my Mom's Christmas. Lots and lots of nice thing were opened, but I think Hazen loved his gifted from my younger brother Larry the most out of us all and out of every thing. Larry generously gave Hazen Guitar hero III Legends of rock. Then Hazen had to start school.

Tessa, Makayla and I stay in Pocatello because My brother and his family came over from Maryland. It was so nice to visit with them, and to see how much Charlene has grown. She is only a little bigger then Makayla, but she acts like the one year old that she is, so if you can imagine Makayla walking and talking some what, you can imagine how cute she was to watch.

I Loved these pictures so much I had to put them on display

Sorry once again on the lateness, and about the longness.
