So I just finished my first week back with Western Heating. A lot has changed since I left, there is a new owner, they moved into a new shop complete with secretaries, and four new installers have been hired including one that started the same day I restarted. And yet despite all of the changes as soon as I stepped onto that job site it was as if I had never left (that's not really a good thing). I thought a long absence would revitalize me but alas I felt just as burned out as I did before I left. I take solace in the fact that it will only be fore a few months. I also feel affirmed in my decision to pursue my schooling again. I am grateful to Ryan (the new owner) for giving me the opportunity to support my family financially and he will get my best effort for the time I am here.
As payment for rent to my parents I am trying to get a whole bunch of projects done around their house.

The first one I decided to tackle is installing the old electric stove down in the snack bar so that Mom can do her canning down there and Dad can clean out the garage some. It is going where the pop machine and old freezer were.

The stove is a little wider than the freezer so I had to modify the cabinets a bit.

All that remains is to patch the wall where the wiring was run and the stove will be in place and functioning, then all I will have to do is some cosmetic work on the cabinets.

As and added bonus we took apart the clock assembly so that Mom wouldn't have to look at the dead cockroaches that long plagued her. It looks pretty good after a thorough cleaning.
